Background
The agency requested a review of its IT system management in order to increase efficiency and ensure maximum business value from existing systems and working methods.
Assignment Description
The assignment consisted of conducting a structured analysis of the current state through interviews with approximately 15 key stakeholders within the application management organization, representing both business operations and IT. The work was complemented by a number of workshops with members of the management team to discuss the current situation, key challenges, and a desired future state.
Results of the Assignment
The outcome of the assignment was a consolidated description of the current and target state, including a GAP analysis and concrete recommendations for improvements in both the short and long term. The recommendations were based on established best practices and included advisory guidance on how the agency could further develop its application management to increase efficiency and business value.
The results were presented in a written report as well as through an oral presentation to the management team.
